Energy/blocking test

each person starts with 100 health and 10 energy

blocking can consist of either trying to deflect the oncoming attack yourself, without jutsu, or be purely defensive, reducing the oncoming attack by 50%. blocking maneuvers cost 1 energy

if you do not block or attack, you will replenish 2 energy in each such post, until you hit the maximum

basic attacks do not cost energy due to the risk involved, they deal 5 damage in one post if successful.

jutsu:

mega punch! (a strong uppercut punch) - costs 2 energy, 1 post cooldown. 20 damage if the attack is successful. note that the attack HAS to be an uppercut.


Niccolo stood in the middle of a circular arena, 20 meters in diameter. The floor was hard packed dirt and there were two door opposite each other. His opponent would enter from the other door. Wordlessly he stood in the middle of the arena, watching the door from which his opponent would enter.

Shiva entered the arena and saw her opponent in the center. Walking forward she stopped 5 meters from him. Sliding into a fighting stance she awaited his response. Her feet were equally spaced, shoulder length apart with the right leg slightly forward and the left back, providing a solid base. Her left arm was bent at a 90 degree angle at the elbow, however it was up at the level of her brow, parallel to the ground. Her right arm also was bent at a 90degree angle however it was perpendicular to her waist. Her fist clenched in both.

She was prepared for a glorious contest.

Well, this was certainly not the opponent he had expected. Perhaps one of the people who had been defeated by him before had sent this girl as an assassin. He hoped she was not though... for a variety of reasons which he did not want to fully delve into. For now he had to defeat her though.

Niccolo charged at the girl, he would throw a punch at her unless she reacted.

(for this fight we are limiting ourselves to the one jutsu detailed in my first post, regular attacking and blocking)

As the boy approached Shiva made a simple movement.  The boy had decided to throw a singular punch.  The punch approached her mid sternum, and she was prepared to defend herself.  As the punch got within 3inches of her body her left forearm descended.  The forearm would catch the boys rest and push it down and out.  Leaving him open.

With her right hand that had been at her waist, she was easily able to bring it up with speed a precision.  The uppercut was thrown with extra force.  Since her forearm had come down and pushed the boys arm out of the way she opened up his guard unless he was able to stop it.  Shiva's uppercut would come up and connect square on the boy's chin unless stopped.  The impact force was enough to stop his mental train of thought as she felt the jar go through his body.

Since the boy was charging the forward momentum would keep his body moving.  Therefore as the uppercut connects she pushed off with her back leg to spin on her right.  Allowing the body of the boy to pass by, but not before she let her back leg drag to trip him as he passed.

Niccolo thought something was off, when the girl tried to deflect his punch. He should have done the uppercut move he was supposed to do since that might also be harder to block. Fortunately, his opponent only moved her upper arm to block him when he was within 3 inches, which was not nearly early enough to keep him from hitting her as hard as he could. He also noticed her arm begin to move, and instinctively brought up his free hand to block as high as he could, covering his head as much as he could from the arm he could not quite see from his vantage point.

After the punch, if able, if nothing occurred that might cause him to do something else, he would immediately retreat, backpedaling at full speed, bringing his first arm to join his second to defend himself as he did such.

[Also, I am going to edit into the first post that basic attacks, including punches do 5 damage per successful attack. That was supposed to be in the first post but i forgot, sorry. I am not going to do any damage this post, since i should have put that in before.]
